So you want to make a movie, huh?
Maybe you were inspired by the great works of Hitchcock or Steven Spielberg. Perhaps you’ve watched enough Pixar films and Simpsons' episodes that your friends declare you an expert in animation. Well, you’re in luck. You’ve discovered the perfect guide to making those dreams become a reality and you’re taking the right step by listening to this before you make your film.
This site is designed to make you think about story, it’ll guide your through the treacherous territory of modern production, and hopefully, make your film memorable to your audience.
Each session we’ll dive into a different topic, from writing your script to finishing that final edit. And each session you’ll be challenged to create a new section of your project. You can use this as a supplement to a production class at an actual film program or just use it as reference if you’re an independent director making your first film. There will be plenty of useful information for everybody.
My intention is to push you to make the best film possible, you might like what I have to say, you might not. But regardless, I’m going challenge you and your ideas about making movies in hopes that it’ll make your film better. In the end, it’ll be up to you to actually go out and make a good movie. My hope is that you and others who use this program will develop worth-wild projects and improve the landscape of entertainment.
Welcome to FILMSCHOOL…
